Safe Cleaning

Last Updated: June 10, 2026

As BulkarApp, we respect the privacy of every user of Safe Cleaning. Safe Cleaning is an Android utility focused on local cleanup, storage visibility, media management, and system shortcuts. This privacy policy explains what information the app processes, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Important: Safe Cleaning is designed to work locally on your device. Cleanup history, settings, file scan results, and runtime status stay on-device. The app does not upload your personal files, photos, videos, audio, contacts, or cleanup history to our servers.

1. Information We Process
v

We design Safe Cleaning to process the minimum information necessary to operate. In the current release, most information is handled entirely on your device.

1.1. Device Signals Processed On-Device

  • Storage and cleanup data: total storage, free storage, app-accessible cache size, file scan results, selected cleanup items, deleted file counts, and cleanup history.
  • Device status signals: available RAM, battery level, battery temperature, charging state, and power-saver state.
  • Security screen signals: screen lock status, developer-options state, USB debugging state, and whether unknown app installs are allowed for the app when Android makes that information available.

1.2. Local File, Media, and Contact Data

  • Files and folders: file names, paths, sizes, and file types may be processed locally to detect leftover APK files, empty folders, large files, duplicate files, and accessible storage residue.
  • Photos, videos, and audio: media names, sizes, dates, thumbnails, and content references may be processed locally when you use photo, video, audio, duplicate media, or photo size reduction tools.
  • Contacts: contact names, phone numbers, and related contact fields may be processed locally when you use duplicate contact tools or contact cleanup actions.

1.3. Local App Data

  • Preferences: theme mode, language, onboarding status, and automatic cleanup options.
  • Operational records: local cleanup history, recent app status events, and automatic cleanup runtime state may be stored in local SQLite/app storage on the device.

1.4. Information You Provide

  • If you contact us by email, we use your email address only to answer your support request.
2. Permissions and Device Access
v

Safe Cleaning requests permissions only when they are needed for a feature you use. Some features work without extra permissions, while storage, media, contact, or notification features may require Android permission approval.

  • All files access: MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE may be requested to scan shared storage for leftover APK/APKS/XAPK files, empty folders, large files, duplicate files, and accessible file residue. This permission is used for the app's core cleanup function and files are removed only after user action.
  • Media access: image, video, and audio permissions may be used to show media files, find duplicates, reduce photo size, and help you manage selected media on your device.
  • Contacts access: if you open the contacts tool, contacts permission may be used to find duplicate contacts or apply user-selected contact changes. Contact data is processed locally and is not uploaded to our servers.
  • Notifications: on Android 13 and later, POST_NOTIFICATIONS may be requested for cleanup completion alerts and app status notifications.
  • Usage access: if Android usage access is enabled by the user, the app may use app usage information to show app details and device management information.

The app may also use Android system APIs and device access in these ways:

  • Local cleanup access: the app scans app-accessible cache, code-cache, temporary files, empty folders, leftover APK files, and related storage residue that it can reach under Android rules.
  • System settings shortcuts: the app can open Android storage, security, usage access, notification, or app settings screens when you tap those actions.
  • Network state: network status may be checked to support app services such as loading ads and avoiding unnecessary network requests.
Safe Cleaning does not request camera, microphone, location, SMS, or call log permissions. File, media, and contact access is used only for the related tools selected by the user.
3. How We Use Information
v

Information processed by the app is used only to operate app features such as:

  • Displaying storage, RAM, battery, app, and security-related device signals.
  • Scanning for app-accessible cache, leftover APK files, empty folders, large files, and file residue.
  • Finding duplicate files, duplicate photos, duplicate media, and duplicate contacts when the related tools are used.
  • Reducing photo size and saving the optimized copy on the device.
  • Running manual cleanup and optional automatic cleanup tasks.
  • Saving your cleanup history and app preferences locally on the device.
  • Showing optional completion notifications for cleanup or app status events.
  • Loading ads and limiting repeated ad display through third-party advertising services.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not upload your personal files, media, contacts, cleanup history, or device scan results to our own servers. Advertising services may process limited device, ad, and interaction data under their own policies.

4. Third-Party Services
v

Safe Cleaning may use third-party services for app distribution and advertising. The app does not use cloud sync for your cleanup history, file lists, media files, or contacts.

  • Google Play: if you download the app through Google Play, Google may process store, install, payment, or device data under Google's own policies.
  • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads: the app may show banner, native, app open, or interstitial ads. Google may process advertising identifiers, device information, network information, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and related ad performance data according to Google's policies.
  • Android system services: notifications, WorkManager, media permissions, contact permissions, storage access, and device settings screens are handled through Android platform components on your device.

5. Data Security and Backup
v

Safe Cleaning stores operational data locally inside app storage on your device. This may include preferences, cleanup history, runtime state, and local app event logs.

  • Local-first storage: app data is kept in app-local storage/SQLite and is not intentionally transmitted to our servers.
  • Android sandbox protection: app data is protected by Android's application sandbox and the lock-screen/device security settings you choose.
  • System backup note: if Android backup is enabled on your device, some app data may be included in system-managed backups according to your device and Google account settings.
No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use device lock-screen protection and keep your Android system updated.
6. Children's Privacy
v

Safe Cleaning is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our own servers. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will handle the request promptly.

7. Your Rights and Choices
v

Depending on your region, you may have rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA. Because Safe Cleaning is local-first, many privacy controls are available directly on your device:

  • Disable optional notifications from the app or Android settings.
  • Turn off all files access, media permissions, contacts permission, or usage access from Android settings.
  • Change or remove theme, language, and automatic cleanup preferences.
  • Clear app data from Android settings to remove local records.
  • Use Google settings to manage advertising choices where available.
  • Uninstall the app to remove its local storage from the device.
  • Contact us if you have questions about how the app handles data.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
v

Safe Cleaning keeps local operational data until you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

  • Cleanup history and app preferences remain on the device until removed.
  • Scan results, selected cleanup items, temporary app events, and automatic cleanup runtime records may remain on-device for operational status visibility.
  • If you uninstall the app, Android normally removes the app's local data from the device, subject to any device-managed backup behavior described above.
